With its old-world charm and history, Villa Paola is the place of choice for creativity and artistic expression in Calabria. For the first time, it opens its doors to the art world to host "Bloom," an exhibition featuring the work of artist Beatrice Lipari from August 11 to 13, 2023.
This one-of-a-kind event will celebrate the beauty of art in all its forms, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the harmony of colors, experience a thrill, and journey into the wonder of the warm and vividly-hued paintings!
Admission is by invitation only on August 11. The exhibition will be open to the public on August 12 and 13, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Beatrice Lipari's works, including two surprise exhibits for hotel guests, will be displayed in the common spaces of the garden and cloister, the perfect backdrop for capturing the essence of aesthetics to reflect on the "bloom" theme in a unique and engaging way.
Beatrice Lipari is a lawyer from Reggio Calabria with a distinct passion for art. She lives and works between Calabria and Rome. She expresses her creativity in spurts, using the canvas as a blank sheet of paper to imprint emotions and energy. Her exhibits are accurate, brilliant, and imbued with meaning. Her works have been exhibited at the Rai headquarters in Viale Mazzini, Rome; the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona (Oct. 2022); Palazzo Velli, Rome; and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome.
"Art is a way to tell stories and to express myself. Art lives and brings to life; it is astonishing and contrasts with static indifference, approval, the mediocre, and the sometimes comfortable. Art teaches us to pause, to wait before constructing a thought, to empathize, to pay attention to details, to know ourselves and the potential for beauty within us and others," explains Beatrice Lipari, whose sensitivity to beauty perfectly aligns with Villa Paola's philosophy.
